About Me
Dr. Alex Miller grew up moving around the entire South East until he ended up in Pinehurst, North Carolina for the majority of his early life. He grew up around sports his whole life by playing soccer and baseball. Alex also spent time on Fort Bragg with friends and their parents as he would participate in training exercises with them. With his time there, he observed some physical therapy treatments and would listen to the stories of how impactful it was in the service- men and women’s lives. This is when Alex knew he wanted to make a career in physical therapy to help others.
Alex went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina where he worked closely with multiple collegiate athletes to improve athletic performance, including baseball, softball, basketball, track/field, and soccer. He then carried all of this work to Elon University to achieve his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Alex continued to work with athletes and assessed 2D/3D motion and gait analysis as a part of his research. He completed clinical rotations in and around the Triangle area and in Augusta, GA at the VA hospital as well.
Alex enjoys treating individuals at different levels of participation in athletics and works to improve functional quality of life. His final clinical rotation was at BYoung Physical Therapy where he was trained in 2D analysis of throwing and running mechanics. Dr. Miller strives to provide the best treatment plan for every patient by incorporating manual techniques and strength training.
