Founder, BYoung Physical Therapy | Co-Owner, The Running PTs and 8ctane Baseball
About Me
Brandon Young is the founder of BYoung Physical Therapy and a co-owner of 8ctane Baseball and The Running PTs. He leads the growth, culture, and vision of the organizations and is directly involved in shaping their direction and ongoing development. He is deeply committed to overall patient experience and patient outcomes, with a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of care.
Brandon brings over 20 years of experience in biomechanics and physical therapy, with a focus on shoulder and elbow injuries and the treatment of throwing athletes. He founded BYoung Physical Therapy with the goal of delivering a more individualized and effective approach to care. Early in his career, he worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, helping develop treatment strategies that were less painful and more efficient for patients. That experience established the foundation for how care is delivered across the organizations today.
He is widely recognized for his expertise in elbow and shoulder injuries and has spent years studying biomechanics and movement at a high level. While much of his work has focused on throwing athletes, that environment places high demands on the elbow and shoulder, often exposing underlying issues more clearly than almost any other activity. This has allowed him to develop a deeper understanding of how these injuries occur and how to effectively treat them across a wide range of patients. He has worked with athletes ranging from to professional competitors to youth players, helping them return to activity and improve performance while reducing injury risk. His work in motion capture and biomechanics has been instrumental in the development of 8ctane Baseball and its approach to performance training.
As the organizations have grown, Brandon has transitioned out of a full time clinical role and now focuses on leading the business and developing the people within it. He is actively involved in hiring, mentoring, and educating staff, and plays a key role in reinforcing the patient outcomes, standards and overall experience across all locations.
He remains actively involved in clinical decision making and complex cases, particularly involving the elbow and shoulder. He no longer maintains a regular caseload but remains involved clinically through oversight, consultation, and patient care when appropriate.
