About Me
Dr. Isaac Murdock grew up in Boerne, Texas and went to college at Coastal Carolina University. While at Coastal, Isaac competed as a decathlete/multi-event athlete on their track and field team and earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. Throughout his athletic career he sustained several season ending injuries, that
ultimately shaped his passion for physical therapy. These experiences gave him a firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional challenges athletes face during
injury and recovery, allowing him to approach patient care with empathy and perspective.
Isaac then went on to Elon University where he received his doctorate in physical therapy. While at Elon University Isaac served as a student clinician in their pro-bono
clinic and was involved with a research project centered around return to sport criteria for the college athlete. This project produced two studies: “Improving Predictive Isometric Peak Torque Values in Division I Football Players” and “Establishing Performance Norms in Division 1 Football Players”. He later presented these studies at the American College of Sports Medicine annual conference as poster presentations. Isaac was also able participate in writing a manuscript for a study that looked at “Establishing Predicted Eccentric Hamstring Strength in Division I Athletes”, that he is later hoping to get published.
Isaac enjoys working with athletes and active individuals of all backgrounds and competitive levels, and is trained in analyzing throwing mechanics, running form, and has experience coaching track and field as well. He is passionate about helping patients restore function, improve performance, reduce injury risk, and confidently return to the
activities they love.
Isaac currently resides in Apex with his wife Natalie and their chocolate lab Millie.
