About Me

Stephanie has experience treating a variety of orthopedic conditions and is dedicated to providing treatment plans pertinent to the individual. She is a certified athletic trainer and has worked with athletes of all abilities from their moment of injury to their return to sport. She blends movement analysis, clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and compassion to meet her patients where they are. Stephanie practices out of our Cary location.

Stephanie is from Greensboro, North Carolina, and as a Tar Heel born and bred, she completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science-Athletic Training, with a minor in Neuroscience, at UNC Chapel Hill in 2019. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Campbell University in 2023.

As a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer, Stephanie has experience working with athletes across a variety of sports and skill levels. While at UNC, she completed semester-long rotations with UNC baseball, women’s soccer, football, and the swim team, which allowed her to understand the demands of each sport on the athlete and develop the skills necessary to return injured athletes to competition. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Stephanie worked with a research team at UNC investigating concussion culture among coaches, parents, and athletes in middle school sports. During her time at Campbell, she gained experience working with individuals with neurological conditions across the lifespan through their Neuro-Wellness clinic.

Stephanie played soccer growing up and for a long time viewed running as a form of punishment, not something to enjoy. She caught “the running bug” in college and has since grown an appreciation for the physical and mental challenges of the sport, having completed multiple 5ks and a half marathon. Outside of work she enjoys early morning runs with her husband, hiking through the mountains, and exploring new coffee shops in the Triangle area. Stephanie had the opportunity to use her physical therapy skills on a medical mission trip with her church, serving a school for children with physical and mental impairments in Ghana.
