Can I see a physical therapist without a prescription or referral from my doctor?
You do not need a referral to see a Physical Therapist in North Carolina. Some insurances may require a referral for payment (Medicare, Medicaid, some out of state plans) but most insurances in North Carolina do not require a referral. The Running PTs powered by BYoung Physical Therapy offers direct access physical therapy billable through insurance. Please contact us for more information.
Are you in network with my health insurance?
We are in network with most insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Humana, and Medcost.
* For United Healthcare, please search us directly by “BYoung Physical Therapy.” We are in network with United Healthcare.
How do I know what my insurance will cover?
It is the patient’s responsibility to know their insurance plan and coverage. We verify benefits as a courtesy to patients prior to the evaluation. If you have any questions regarding your coverage before your appointment, please reach out to your insurance company.
How do I make payments?
Full payment for service is due at the time of service. Please be prepared with payment for each date of service. If you receive a bill or payment statement, you may pay this over the phone with a credit card or mail a check to the office.
Can I use my FSA/HSA at the time of my appointment?
Yes, we encourage patients to utilize their HSA or FSA card.
Who should I contact with billing questions?
Our front office staff will answer any questions you have regarding billing. However, to speak directly to our billing company, please call 864-679-1600 ext. 355.
Do I have to be an athlete to receive your services?
At BYoung Physical Therapy, we treat a variety of injuries. You do not have to be an athlete to be evaluated. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy specialize in treating the shoulder and elbow pain, as well as post-operative rehabilitation.
