Andrew Kuyper
PT, DPT, BRM
About Me
North Carolina born and bred, Andrew grew up in Durham, NC, then ventured to the mountains for his undergraduate education at Appalachian State University. There, he majored in both Spanish and Biology and minored in Chemistry. Andrew attended Elon University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program to pursue his DPT and graduated with honors.
Before joining the BYoung Physical Therapy, Andrew honed his orthopedic clinical focus while working seven years in an outpatient physical therapy practice allowing exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and gaining valuable skills across a wide scope of conditions. To further his clinical expertise and experience, Andrew completed a Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) and is a Certified Dry Needling Therapist.
Andrew’s journey with running began in high school and has evolved throughout the years. In training for various races or even the occasional beer mile, he is no stranger to the injuries and challenges accompanying the sport. He is passionate about using his personal experience with weight lifting, running, and a particular low back injury to empathize with patients’ experience and empower them to continue towards their goals. In addition to his English speaking clientele, Andrew is also excited to put his Spanish language skills to use to create the optimal rehab experience for as many patients as possible.
Andrew currently resides in Cary, NC with his fiancee, McCall, and three cats: Bruce, Lando, and Quill.
