About Me

Dr. Chris Aherne is a physical therapist with more than five years of clinical experience helping athletes and active individuals recover from injury, reduce the risk of reinjury, and return to peak performance. He combines advanced training in a variety of assessment and treatment techniques with an individualized approach to help each patient achieve their goals and perform at their highest level.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from SUNY Brockport in 2018 before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at The George Washington University in 2021.

He has a particular passion for treating overhead athletes, specializing in the rehabilitation of shoulder and elbow injuries. By integrating his expertise as a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) provider with a deep understanding of rotational athletes, Chris develops comprehensive rehabilitation programs that optimize recovery, improve performance, and reduce the risk of future injury.

As a former collegiate soccer player, Chris understands the physical and mental demands of competitive athletics. His firsthand experience allows him to connect with patients and guide them through every stage of recovery, whether they’re returning to competition or simply striving to stay active and healthy.

Outside the clinic, Chris enjoys playing golf and soccer, running, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
