About Me

Kimberly Batchelor has extensive experience practicing physical therapy in the outpatient orthopedic setting, helping patients return to the activities they love. She has spent the majority of her career treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries, with a strong focus on improving performance, restoring movement, and preventing future injury. Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from James Madison University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She values the physical therapy profession’s commitment to lifelong learning and constantly seeks opportunities to grow as a clinician while staying current with evidence-based treatment approaches.

Kimberly encourages her patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation so they better understand their injuries and how to maintain long-term function. Her treatment philosophy combines hands-on manual therapy with individualized exercise programs designed to restore correct movement patterns and help patients reach their personal goals. Kimberly is deeply inspired by the motivation and resilience athletes demonstrate while returning to their sports—a drive she understands firsthand as a dedicated runner. She ran track in high school, but her love of distance running began in 2012 when she trained for her first half marathon. Since then, she has completed two full marathons, over a dozen half marathons, and continues training with Triangle Run Smart Training. Her personal experience with racing and training gives her valuable insight into the needs of runners and active individuals working to stay healthy and perform at their best.

Kimberly was drawn to BYoung Physical Therapy because of the clinic’s unique focus on individualized care and the ability to work one-on-one with patients. She values the time and attention that each patient receives and enjoys helping runners and active individuals return to the activities that keep them moving.

Originally from Upstate New York, Kimberly moved to Northern Virginia after graduate school where she met her husband, John. They relocated to the Raleigh area in 2014 and now enjoy raising their two boys while staying active in the local community.
