Christopher Ripberger, PT, DPT

Dr. Chris Ripberger is a licensed physical therapist from Greensboro, North Carolina. Chris was a 4-year varsity football letterman for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while earning the Athletic Director’s Scholar Athlete of the Year twice. His passion for physical therapy grew during this time as he learned from a top-tier sports medicine and strength and conditioning staff. He understands the demands, challenges, and values of student-athletes at all levels.

After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with minors in Neuroscience and Chemistry, he returned to UNC to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While completing his doctorate studies, Chris actively participated in UNC’s student lead, pro-bono clinic, served as a teacher scholar for the program’s musculoskeletal course, and presented his Capstone Project, "Applying Strength and Conditioning Principles to a Functional High-Intensity Resistance Training Program for Older Adults”, demonstrating his appreciation for service.

Chris has had numerous volunteer and work experiences in the outpatient sports and orthopedics settings before his graduation and joined the BYoung team as a physical therapy student. He enjoys working with athletes of all backgrounds and competitive levels to improve function and performance, reduce risk of injury, and guide safe return to sport.
